New Products - Linear-36/42/48

Monday, 20 May 2019 08:45:00 Europe/London

An extension to their market leading range of ‘Linear’ low-profile auxiliary LED driving lights, Lazer Lamps is delighted to announce the launch of three new products; the Linear-36, Linear-42, and Linear-48. Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the UK, the high performance LED light bars are destined to become the next must-have accessory for the passenger vehicle, 4x4, pick-up, and SUV sectors.

Linear-42 - Toyota Hilux

Measuring just 40mm in height, the Linear range is amongst the most slimline, low profile auxiliary high beam lighting solution available today, and with the new lights measuring from 982mm (39”) to 1282mm (51”) in length, their suitability to roof mounting is there for people to see…or not! With a low-profile aerodynamic housing, smooth lines, and contemporary design features, the lights integrate effortlessly with modern vehicles, balancing understated presence with class-leading lighting performance borne out of development and testing at the highest levels of professional motorsport, optimised for everyday road use.

With both Linear-36 and Linear-42 products E-mark certified, the lights have been precision engineered both in terms of their physical construction and electronic design. Lighting performance is on the upper limit of ECE regulations, providing the ultimate driving light with exceptional distance illumination, but with an incredible spread of light that makes both on and off-road driving incredibly safe and relaxing. The suitability to roof mounting is furthered through the rear facing LEDs which eliminates light bleed and glare on to the bonnet, which is an issue that can affect some other roof installs.

Wind noise can be the scourge of many roof light installations, and so the appeal of the long Linear series is furthered by the superior wind noise performance. The aerodynamic design cuts through the air meaning wind noise from a Linear roof installation is virtually non-existent.

Linear-48 on Defender 90

Commenting on the launch, following extensive product testing and vehicle compatibility checks, Ben Russell-Smith (Lazer Lamps – Director) said, ‘The Linear-6, 12, and 18 have been such a success since their launch in the Autumn of 2018 that introducing bigger versions was always going to be on the cards. Still there’s been a lot of work behind the scenes to modify the light distribution to achieve E-mark certification, and with the imminent arrival of a comprehensive range of universal fit roof mount solutions, we hope we’re giving customers the materials to complete real high quality installations that will turn heads both day and night.’

Like all Lazer High Performance Lighting the Linear range is manufactured in the UK at the company’s Head Office and manufacturing facility in Harlow. All products are built to exacting standards, with a comprehensive 5 year warranty as standard.

Lazer Lamps Adaptive Solution Set to Light Up Rally Monte Carlo

Tuesday, 22 January 2019 08:07:52 Europe/London

UK based LED Spotlight manufacturer, Lazer Lamps, is excited to announce adoption of a ground-breaking adaptive lighting solution for this year’s World Rally Championship. Responding to feedback for improved lighting under heavy braking and accelerating, the lights respond to changes in the vehicle’s pitch, to provide additional lighting in areas that might otherwise be plunged into darkness. The new lights also feature alternative beam patterns which can be selected by the driver at the press of a button, mid stage, to suit fog and other environmental conditions. The adaptive lighting solution is set to be adopted by both M-Sport and Hyundai Motorsport for the 2019 season, and will debut at Rally Monte Carlo later this week.

Lazer Lamps - Carbon Series - Hyundai WRC - Seb Loeb

Alongside the adaptive lighting, upgraded optics and LEDs within Lazer’s ‘Carbon Series’ High Performance LED Spotlights means an increasing competitive advantage that is hoped to pave the way for success over the coming week. Commenting following weekend testing by both teams, Lazer Managing Director, Ben Russell-Smith said, ‘We’re clearly delighted to have both M-Sport and Hyundai Motorsport trusting us with their lighting requirements this season. We’ve listened hard to what both teams have asked of us, and whilst there will always be some fine tuning to be done, I’m delighted that we’ve developed a solution which will offer the drivers real benefits in the opening stages of this years WRC. We’re proud to be at the forefront of lighting innovations for motor sport, and are looking forward to seeing this technology transfer to our more mainstream products as the year progresses.”

Fine tuning of Lazer’s Carbon Series spotlights has been completed with an optimised distribution of light for both Carbon-6 Spot and Drive lamps, upgrades which are available immediately, along with simplified vehicle connectivity. Equivalent versions of the Carbon-6 lamps with adaptive functionality, and E-mark approved to comply with the majority of motorsport regulations, will be available during Q2 2019.

Lazer Lamps - Carbon Series - M-Sport WRC

Obtaining ECE (E-mark) approval for the lights is recognised as an important contributing factor to adoption of the latest LED technology for all motorsport applications. Extending the appeal and relevance of their lightweight solutions, Lazer has also invested heavily in 3D print technologies to enable production of the lamp body in automotive-grade ASA plastic, reducing the cost of the lamps compared to the current carbon fibre construction. Lamps made with ASA material are currently undergoing testing and expected to come available from Q2 2019.
